Classes for Children and Teens
Because adults "can't always be there," IMPACT is committed to giving students the common sense safety and prevention skills they need for making safe choices.
KidSAFE
KidSAFE focuses on personal safety, bullying and peer pressure, and stranger danger. This course teaches children ages 7-9 to call attention to threatening situations, distinguish between safe and unsafe adults, physically and verbally protect themselves, and report potential danger to a safe adult. In a safe supportive environment, students learn to stay calm and focused while practicing effective communication and appropriate safety making decisions in realistic situations that range from intimidating to dangerous.
MiddleSchool IMPACT
Middleschool IMPACT focuses on personal safety, self-confidence, assertiveness in dating relationships, peer pressure, and managing increasing independence. For pre-teens and early teens, this course offers students the opportunity to practice appropriately asserting themselves and asking for what they need in situations where they feel uncomfortable. They also receive training on assessing situations for danger, and learn how to defend themselves physically and verbally if necessary. They have the opportunity to customize a scenario that reflects a source of anxiety in their own life.

We run individual private lessons for kids. Further, if you know a group of kids or teens (clubs, girl/boyscout troupes, groups of friends) interested in taking a course with IMPACT, we offer private lessons for groups. Please call the office at (781) 321-3900 to set up a private lesson.
